Westforce Constructions is a Western Australian civil utilities contractor delivering underground services across resources, energy and infrastructure projects. Part of the Raubex group, with more than 320 people across WA, we install water, sewer, fire and gas pipelines alongside electrical and communications infrastructure, on greenfield sites and into live brownfield environments. Utilities usually sit on the critical path, so we plan them with the full site picture and the sequencing these projects demand. We do what we say: services in the ground, on spec, on program, with the records to prove it.
Water, sewer, gas and fire pipelines
We install pipelines of all materials and sizes, from pressurised gas and water lines to gravity-fed sewer and fire protection systems. Our crews work with steel, HDPE, PVC and ductile iron, along with the valve sets, isolation points and connection details that come with them. Whether the job is new gas infrastructure or a tie-in to an existing network, we deliver it with consistent quality and clean as-built records. If we commit to a spec and a date, that is what gets delivered.
Electrical and communications infrastructure
Westforce builds the civil side of electrical infrastructure: conduit networks, cable routes, pits and ducting for power and data. We work as the civil contractor for electrical infrastructure on energy and network projects, coordinating early with electrical and design teams, and working to the WA authority specifications we deal with every week. This includes civil works for substations and switchyards, such as the 132kV switchyard we delivered at the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant. Horizontal directional drilling and trenchless solutions
Where open-cut trenching is not practical, we use horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to install pipelines and conduits with minimal surface disturbance. HDD is suited to crossings under roads, watercourses and existing infrastructure, and it cuts both restoration costs and interface risk. Our trenchless capability gives clients more options for how and where utilities are installed, without holding up the rest of the site.
Underground services built into complete civil packages
Utility scopes rarely stand alone. Ours are usually delivered alongside drainage, structural concrete and earthworks, so we plan with the full site picture in mind. Because we self-perform that work, we stage utilities and drainage cabling to fit the wider program rather than waiting on another contractor. We coordinate with other trades and client teams so the install never becomes the bottleneck, and well-managed QA keeps both schedule and compliance on track, as it did on the water infrastructure works at Beenyup AWRP.
