Project Overview

The project consisted of the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the civil balance of plant at the St Ives Gold Mine, located approximately 20km south-east of Kambalda, Western Australia. This included the construction of 7 WTG foundations to support Gold Fields’ environmental, social and governance decarbonisation project. The renewables project will make a significant contribution to achieving its regional decarbonisation target by replacing fossil fuel energy from the grid with onsite generation, primarily from renewable energy.

Design, supply, installation and commissioning of the CBOP comprising of:

  • Civil Earthworks
  • Drainage
  • Seven WTG foundations
  • Hardstands, laydowns, cleared areas, crane pads and associated drainage
  • HV, LV, control and comms cable conduits
  • WTG earthing systems from battery limits
  • Concrete: 5,500m3 ~
  • Reinforcement: 540T ~
