As part of Fortescue Metals Group’s expansion at the Solomon Kings Valley site, a new tailings pipeline is being constructed to transfer material from the ore processing facility to the newly developed TSF at Brad Pit. To support this pipeline, three pump stations were planned, with Westforce delivering all civil and concrete works for Pump Stations 1 and 2 as part of the first construction package.
Westforce carried out detailed earthworks, trenching and structural concrete works across multiple zones, including the 33kV switchroom area and thickener underflow infrastructure.
