Project Overview

Westforce was engaged to deliver the Bulk Earthworks package for the P1000 Expansion Project at the Pilgangoora Processing Facility.

Following the successful start of works, our team was awarded additional scopes covering brownfields concrete, ROM backfill and gas infrastructure, reflecting client confidence in our on-ground delivery.

The P1000 Expansion will boost Pilbara Minerals’ lithium spodumene concentrate production capacity by 47%, taking the nameplate output to 1M tonnes per year.

Project Scope

Bulk Earthworks Package

Establish and produce from borrow pits
Construct 4m-high berms
Build 2 turkey nests with HDPE liners and associated pipework (welded, bolted, pressure tested)
Develop and manage TMPs with road diversions
Install culverts and headwalls with stabilised sand backfill
Locate and relocate underground services

Brownfields Concrete and Primary Crusher Packages

Detailed and bulk earthworks
In-situ concrete works to footings, pedestals, plinths, and slabs
Install bump stops and slabs

Brownfields Gas Main Package

Trenching and HDPE pipe installation (50mm and 250mm)
Isolation and tie-in works
Commissioning
