In a high-stakes push to expand its processing power, BHP Nickel West selected Westforce to deliver the full civil and earthworks package for the Mount Keith Debottlenecking Project. Located just outside Leinster in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields, the works form part of a major upgrade to the crushing and grinding circuit at the Mount Keith Mine.
With a 16MW SAG mill circuit to support, plus new stockpile conveyors, a coarse ore stockpile, and a fresh 11kV substation, the site was a hive of moving parts. Our role was clear: keep the project moving while laying the groundwork for long-term production uplift.
Westforce brought clarity and confidence to the civil delivery, sequencing bulk and detailed earthworks alongside structural concrete, service installation, and commissioning support. We focused on coordination, communication and clean handovers – all the essentials in a live processing environment.

Westforce managed all civil works under a Construct Only contract, with end-to-end responsibility for ground preparation, concrete and underground services. Our approach focused on clear interfaces, strong planning and keeping the pace up without compromising safety or quality.
