The BHP Jimblebar Surplus Water dewatering project consisted of the construction of dewatering infrastructure at the Jimblebar Iron Ore Mine in the Pilbara region to remove existing water from an exploration area, enabling BHP to commence mining operations.
Westforce delivered all civil works required for the project, including modifications to the existing WH5/6 storage facility, installation of a new HASHI storage facility, two water transfer pipelines, and three reinjection Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) bores.
A wide variety of works was completed across several locations.
Trenching: 30km ~
Pipeline: 30km DN600-800
Concrete: 1,100m³ ~
Bulk Earthworks: 20,000m³ ~
