This project was initiated by Horizon Power to reinforce the Port Hedland transmission network through the replacement of the old transformers and associated distribution equipment with a new transformer (T4) and switchboard at Wedgefield sub-station.

Westforce was engaged by Horizon Power to undertake Civil works and Electrical works summarized in below.

All associated project and site management activities;
On site Safety Management;
TX4 Transformer Bund, primary equipment foundations and associated structures civil and concrete works;
New access road and Gate Supply and Installation;
New Switchroom foundation and associated structures civil and concrete works;
Primary Equipment, secondary Cable and HV cables Supply and Installation;
Commissioning Works.
