PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Flat Rocks Stage 1 Wind Farm, home to the tallest turbines in the state, features 18 Vestas V150-4.2MW machines with a remarkable tip height of 200m. Located approximately 250km southeast of Perth and 30km southeast of Kojonup in Western Australia, this project marks a significant achievement in the region's renewable energy landscape.
Westforce was engaged by Enel Green Power to deliver the design and construction of key infrastructure elements, including 18 wind turbine foundations (WTG’s), 15km of roads, a substation, and a Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Building, as part of the Balance of Plant (CBoP) contract.
This successful project highlights Westforce’s expertise in delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure to support the growth of renewable energy.
PROJECT SCOPE
- Detailed design of concrete foundations, internal roads, hardstand areas, and O&M Building
- Site preparation
- Opening and operation of gravel pit with a crushing and screening facility
- Drill and blast for rock removal
- Construction of public road intersections and entrances
